Privacy

Radio Days has no accounts and no ads. We don't collect your name, email address or listening history. We do count visits (see GoatCounter below), but not who you are.
What stays on your device
To work like a radio, the app saves a few things in your browser, on your own phone or computer: your thumbs up and down, saved shows and episodes, your place in each episode and serial, your last station, the stations you made, the shows you set aside or left off a station, which lists you left open, whether sound effects are on, and any shows you saved for offline listening (the recordings themselves, kept in the browser's storage). None of it is sent to us. Clearing your browser's data for this site erases it.
Other services the app uses
When you listen or browse, your device connects to these services, and like any website they can see your device's Internet address:
- Internet Archive (archive.org), where most recordings stream from, and where the magazine covers and pages in the Magazine Rack come from.
- Radio Days Theater of the Mind Museum (radiodaysmuseum.org), for a few recordings.
- Google Fonts, for the lettering on the page.
- Netlify, which hosts the app.
- GoatCounter (goatcounter.com), which counts visits to the app so we can see how many people use it. It records the page visited, the site that sent you, and your browser, operating system, screen width, language and country. It also counts, with nothing that identifies you, when listening in one visit passes 5, 15 and 30 minutes, one hour and two hours, and which show an episode was when you hear it to the end. It uses no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and doesn't keep your Internet address.
- PayPal, only if you tap Support Radio Days. The donation happens on PayPal's own page under PayPal's privacy policy; Radio Days never sees your card or account details.
- Anthropic, the company whose AI answers questions you ask Albert. Only your question, your conversation with him so far, and the show information the app looks up for it are sent. Radio Days doesn't keep them.
Each has its own privacy policy. Apart from GoatCounter's visit totals, we don't receive any information about you from them.
Sharing
When you share an episode, the link only names the station and the episode. Nothing about you is in it.
Children
The Kids' Channel is for young listeners. Since we collect no personal information from anyone, we collect none from children.
Changes
If Radio Days adds accounts or anything else that changes this, we will update this page first.
