Play Bob and Ray on Radio Days
Bob Elliott was a disc jockey and Ray Goulding a newscaster at WHDH in Boston when their banter got them their own weekday show in 1946, Matinee with Bob and Ray. They parodied radio itself, deadpan, as if it were all a serious broadcast, and went on to NBC, CBS and Mutual into the 1980s. These are 1948-49 Boston shows, full of the spoofs that made their name.
