Play Captain Midnight on Radio Days

Captain Jim "Red" Albright, known as Captain Midnight, led the Secret Squadron against saboteurs and spies, above all the villain Ivan Shark. Wilfred G. Moore and Robert M. Burtt created the serial, which began in syndication in October 1938 for Skelly Oil. Ovaltine took it over in 1940 and put it on Mutual, and it ran until December 1949. Ed Prentiss was the longest-serving Captain. Listeners used their Code-O-Graphs to decode a secret message about the next day's episode.
