Play Crime Classics on Radio Days
Every week Thomas Hyland, "connoisseur of crime, student of violence, and teller of murders," told the true story of a famous killing from history, with a dark sense of humor. Lou Merrill played Hyland. Elliott Lewis produced and directed, Morton Fine and David Friedkin wrote every script, and Bernard Herrmann wrote the music for all but one. It ran on CBS from June 15, 1953, to June 30, 1954, with no sponsor.
