Play Curtain Time on Radio Days

Curtain Time was a half-hour dramatic anthology that framed each broadcast as a night at the theater, with listeners invited in as the evening's audience, much like The First Nighter Program. It began on Chicago stations before going national, and between 1938 and 1950 it aired at various times on Mutual, CBS, ABC and NBC. In its 1938 run, sponsored by General Mills, Olan Soule usually took the male lead; the 1945-1950 version, sponsored by Mars, Incorporated, featured Harry Elders with Beverly Younger and Nannette Sergeant. Hosts over the years included Patrick Allen and Lew Valentine, and a young Mike Wallace (billed as Myron Wallace) served as announcer.
