Theater of the Mind
Easy Aces
17 episodes · 1941–1948 · CBS, Blue Network · Comedy

Radio Hall of Fame inductee.
In 1930 the cast of a show at KMBC in Kansas City didn't turn up, so Goodman Ace and his wife Jane went on the air and chatted about their bridge game. Easy Aces ran until 1945, mostly fifteen minutes at a time for Anacin, with Goodman writing every word. Jane was famous for her mangled sayings, like "time wounds all heels" and "you could have knocked me down with a fender." In 1948 the Aces came back on CBS in a half-hour version called mr. ace and JANE, which is what you'll hear here.
