Escape
226 episodes · 1947–1954 · CBS, Armed Forces Radio Service · Adventure

Escape ran on CBS from July 7, 1947, to September 25, 1954, opening with a question: "Tired of the everyday grind?" William Conrad asked it first, Paul Frees later. It was the adventurous sister of Suspense, with high adventure, the supernatural and science fiction, mostly adapted from well-known stories. Les Crutchfield and John Dunkel created it, and William N. Robson and Norman Macdonnell directed. It seldom had a sponsor, yet it ran 228 episodes, and most survive in good condition.
