Play Hawk Larabee on Radio Days
Barton Yarborough played Hawk Larabee, owner of the Black Mesa Ranch, with Barney Phillips as his partner Somber Jones, on CBS from July 5, 1946, to February 7, 1948. It started as Hawk Durango with Elliott Lewis, and became Hawk Larabee after six weeks. William N. Robson produced and directed. John Dunning called it radio's first half-hearted try at an adult Western.
