Play Let George Do It on Radio Days
"Personal notice: Danger's my stock in trade. If the job's too tough for you to handle, you've got a job for me. George Valentine. Write full details!" Bob Bailey played Valentine, a World War II veteran turned troubleshooter, on the Don Lee network of Mutual from October 1946 to September 1954, with Frances Robinson and later Virginia Gregg as his secretary, Brooksie. David Victor and Jackson Gillis created it, and Standard Oil of California sponsored it. It began with a lighter touch and grew into a straight detective show.
