Play Meet Corliss Archer on Radio Days
F. Hugh Herbert based his stories about fifteen-year-old Corliss Archer partly on his own teenage daughter. The radio show ran from January 1943 to September 1956, mostly on CBS, with Janet Waldo, Priscilla Lyon and Lugene Sanders among the Corlisses. The same stories became the play and Shirley Temple film Kiss and Tell. Fewer than 24 episodes are known to survive.
