Play My Friend Irma on Radio Days

Marie Wilson played Irma Peterson, a scatterbrained stenographer from Minnesota, on CBS from April 11, 1947, to August 23, 1954. Cy Howard created it. Cathy Lewis was her level-headed roommate, Jane Stacy, John Brown was Irma's shiftless boyfriend Al, and Hans Conried was Professor Kropotkin, the Russian violinist upstairs. The 1949 film version is best remembered for introducing Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis to the movies.
