Play The Adventures of Babe Ruth on Radio Days
Fifteen-minute baseball stories built around Babe Ruth, told by a sportswriter called Steve Martin, with Jackson Beck announcing and Ben Peter Freeman writing. They are often said to be the 1934 Quaker Oats series, and the Internet Archive labels them that way, but RadioGOLDINdex says they are a later U.S. Navy recruiting series, about 1949 by the recruiting announcements, with an actor playing the Babe. The real Babe Ruth can be heard on Bill Stern's Colgate Sports Newsreel of March 22, 1946.
