Play The New Adventures of Sherlock Holmes on Radio Days
Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce brought their movie Holmes and Watson to radio on October 2, 1939, and did 220 episodes together until May 1946. The show moved from the Blue Network to Mutual in 1943, when Denis Green and Anthony Boucher took over the writing; Petri Wine sponsored those seasons. Tom Conway replaced Rathbone that fall, and the series ran until June 14, 1950.
