Play The Phil Harris-Alice Faye Show on Radio Days
Bandleader Phil Harris, Jack Benny's brash sidekick, and his wife, movie star Alice Faye, started as hosts of The Fitch Bandwagon in 1946. Their family sketches took over the show, and on October 3, 1948, it became The Phil Harris-Alice Faye Show, running on NBC until June 18, 1954. Elliott Lewis played Phil's pal Frankie Remley and Walter Tetley the smart-mouthed delivery boy Julius. Writers Ray Singer and Dick Chevillat called it a writer's paradise.
