Play The Six Shooter on Radio Days
James Stewart played Britt Ponset, a drifting cowboy in the last days of the Old West, on NBC from September 20, 1953, to June 24, 1954: one season, 39 episodes. Frank Burt created it and wrote many of the scripts, and Stewart whispered his narration in the tense moments. Stewart turned down cigarette sponsors as wrong for his image, so most of the run went unsponsored.
