Dublin-born Maureen O'Hara (1920-2015) was an Irish-American actress known for playing spirited, sensible heroines in westerns and adventure pictures. Her breakthrough came in How Green Was My Valley, the first of five features she made with director John Ford, a partnership that also produced The Quiet Man with John Wayne. She also starred in the holiday favorite Miracle on 34th Street, and her red hair earned her the nickname Queen of Technicolor. She received an honorary Academy Award in 2014, and in Radio Days she is heard on Lux Radio Theatre, Family Theater and The Screen Guild Theater.
