Joseph Cotten (1905-1994) was an American actor who got his start as one of the first members of Orson Welles's Mercury Theatre company. He played Jedediah Leland in Citizen Kane, a smooth-talking killer in Hitchcock's Shadow of a Doubt, and the writer chasing the truth in The Third Man, and he won the Volpi Cup at Venice for Portrait of Jennie. Radio was part of his work from the beginning, with performances on The Mercury Theatre on the Air and The Campbell Playhouse. Radio Days also has him on Suspense and Lux Radio Theatre.
