Linda Darnell (1923-1965) was an American actress who signed with 20th Century-Fox at just 15 and became one of the studio's leading ladies of the 1940s. She made four pictures with Tyrone Power, including The Mark of Zorro, and won her first strong notices in Blood and Sand. Forever Amber was her biggest box-office success, while A Letter to Three Wives brought her the best reviews of her career. She also worked in radio, appearing on Lux Radio Theatre in 1945, and Radio Days lists her on shows such as The Screen Guild Theater and Command Performance.
