Harry Von Zell

Cast, Announcer

225 episodes in 16 shows · 1932–1956

Harry Von Zell was a busy network announcer who at one point handled some 20 shows a week, and as a CBS staff announcer he worked with stars like Fred Allen and Ed Wynn. From 1940 to 1949 he was Eddie Cantor's commercial spokesman and straight man, the longest radio partnership of his career. Television viewers later knew him as the announcer and befuddled family friend on Burns and Allen.
