Pat O'Brien (1899-1983) was an American actor who made his first big splash as reporter Hildy Johnson in The Front Page. He was teamed again and again with James Cagney, most memorably as the priest in Angels with Dirty Faces, and he is best remembered as the Notre Dame coach in Knute Rockne, All American. Priests and policemen became his specialty. On radio he brought both Angels with Dirty Faces and Knute Rockne to Lux Radio Theatre, and Radio Days also finds him on Family Theater and Cavalcade of America.
