Vincent Price (1911-1993) was an American actor whose career took hold with the film noir Laura and who became best known for menacing roles in House of Wax, The Fly and a run of Edgar Allan Poe pictures with Roger Corman. Off screen he was a serious art collector with a degree in art history. His rich voice made him a natural for radio, where he played Simon Templar on The Saint for four years. He also performed the chilling Three Skeleton Key on both Escape and Suspense.
